TROUBLESHOOTING / MOUSE INPUT

The mouse will not move or click

If the remote screen and keyboard work but the mouse does not respond, check input permissions and game security software on the host PC.

Recognize the symptoms

  • You can see the remote screen and use the keyboard, but mouse movement or clicks do not respond.
  • The issue may occur only in a game or may also affect the desktop.

The host is the PC you are connecting to. Run these checks on that PC. This symptom alone does not identify a particular program or the connecting PC's ARM64 or x64 architecture as the cause.

Game security software

Some games restrict remote input under their security policies. Riot Vanguard, used by League of Legends (LoL) and VALORANT, is one possible cause.

Security software can run separately from the game and affect input outside it. Closing the game may not resolve the issue.

If a game's security policy blocks input, forpro-remote cannot guarantee remote control. Check the game publisher's guidance on remote play support.

What to check

  1. Check that mouse input is allowed on the host. Also check whether a mouse connected directly to the host can move and click normally.
  2. Check which games are running on the host. Save your work, close the game completely, reconnect and test the mouse on the desktop first.
  3. If the issue continues, save your work and restart the host. Test again before opening the game. A restart disconnects the session, so first make sure you can reconnect to the host afterwards.
  4. If the issue remains after a restart or returns when the game starts, contact support with the details listed here so we can also check input permissions and app behavior.
